Going on a cruise while your house is extended
With the sluggish demand for housing in the current economic climate, moving house is sometimes no longer an option for many people and so, when they find that they need more space, they can either make do with what they already have or look into extending the property that they are currently living in. Although a good builder will do their best to minimise any disturbance while they are working on your house, it will inevitably affect the environment at home. For this reason, some people who are in a position to, choose to go on a cruise or similar type of holiday while the majority of the work is being done. One of the great things about a holiday onboard a luxury, ocean going liner is that you can book a trip to last for as few or as many days as you wish. The longest round the world voyages go on for roughly four months but if you desired to be away even longer then you can always simply stay on the ship as it starts its next journey. As you can join and leave a cruise ship at pretty much any port it visits, you can arrange the length of journey and areas to visit that suit you best.

A summer cruise need not be to somewhere really far away as there are plenty of warm destinations in the Northern Hemisphere that are enjoyable to visit. If you want to experience a bit of culture while you are away then a trip taking in cities such as Florence and Rome would be ideal, with their many museums and art galleries.
While you are away , you may get some good ideas concerning how to decorate your extension when you return home, from looking at all the beautiful buildings you will encounter on your trip. A cruise to the Balearics or Canary Islands may be more to your taste if you prefer the sort of holiday where you spend most of the time soaking up the sun on a wide sandy beach. If you are worried about how an extension will fit on the land your property is situated on, then you could always consider a loft or garage conversion, to make more use of the existing space. Most modern cars do not suffer from rust if parked outside year round and many people's lofts are filled with junk that they could probably just as easily live without or maybe sell for some spending money on their cruise.
